Counseling for you

Whatever it is, sharing your story can make a difference.

1:1 Therapy

Whether there was a recent life-altering event in your life or something just does not feel right, individual counseling provides an opportunity for reflection and growth. Working individually with a licensed counselor can provide you the opportunity to have a neutral person provide perspective and give the opportunity to be heard without judgement.

There are many reasons why people seek out counseling services. For some, it may be a way to deal with a mental health issue that they are struggling with. Others may be seeking help in dealing with a difficult life event, such as the death of a loved one or a divorce. Still others may simply want someone to talk to who will understand them and provide supportive guidance. No matter what the reason, counseling can be an incredibly beneficial experience for those who participate in it. As a therapist, I am trained to listen with empathy and without judgment, and they can provide valuable insights and perspectives that can help people to understand themselves and their problems better. If you are considering seeking counseling, know that you are not alone - many people choose to seek out counseling services each year, and there is no shame in doing so. Counseling can be an immensely helpful experience, so do not hesitate to reach out for help if you think it could benefit you.

Tailored for you

Prior to filling out any information you will have the opportunity to complete a brief phone consultation where you are able to ask general questions to help determine fit with your counselor. After completing the phone consultation, you will be asked to fill out a short form, providing a brief background into your history while also being able to discern what you would initially like to work on, you will also be asked to sign a consent form, agreeing to the parameters of counseling. Following the completion of the forms, we will find a time that works to meet. While some people believe this is where the work begins, one of the hardest parts is actually over, in that you have set yourself on a path towards healing and understanding. During the first session we will go over what therapy will look like based off of what you want to achieve.

“It's a dangerous business, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no knowing where you might be swept off to.”
