Signs and symptoms of Depression

Depression can take on a variety of forms and can become bad enough to severely effect our day to day lives. While some of these symptoms can be a common response too day to day life issues that arise, depression and its symptoms typically will last for more than two weeks at a time.

  • Lack of concentration

  • Loss of energy

  • Lack of interest in activities

  • Hopelessness or guilty thoughts

  • Changes in movement (less activity or agitation)

  • Physical aches and pains

  • Suicidal thoughts

  • Changes in sleep

  • Changes in appetite
